Why is it so hard to write?
I have so many talented friends who have an amazing voice and sense of humor that I know would benefit the world, but like me they can never think of something to write. Perhaps, their lives are so inundated with ideas that they can't sit down in front of their laptop and decide on what to write first. I wish it were some how easier for them and the rest of us to tell our stories, perhaps the world would be a better place if we could only get more of what's inside us out.

A sign of things to come?
I just wrote on my FB page that I'm surprised how quickly 2009 has gone by and that I hoped 2010 would be a better year. Now, I'm sure it is completely coincidental that someone else wrote this, but it still didn't take away from the intensity of it. "Down the road the sun is shining, In every cloud there's a silver lining, Just keep holding on, And every heartache makes you stronger But it won't be much longer You'll find love, you'll find peace And the you you're meant to be. "
Basically all that I fear and stress out about is contained in this one quotation. Will I find love? Will I be successful? Will I live up to my potential? Will the stress and heartache of the past two years finally end? My answer to all these questions has always been yes, but WHEN is what I'm really after.
I'm a big proponent of destiny and fate. To most it may seem naive, maybe even a bit childish, but I KNOW that there's a plan for me and have always felt my path would lead me to where I'm destined to be in time, when I'm "supposed" to. LOL, but seriously... can we speed it up a bit?

New Song
Tonight, during which I should have been studying, I was watching the movie "Scream." It was way better than what I remember, but I guess that's what everyone says when they've just finished watching a movie that they haven't seen in years. But, something was different about this time. During the part where "Billy" is in "Sydney"'s bedroom there is a hauntingly beautiful remake of "Don't Fear the Reaper". Unfortunately, all I could locate of the artist was one name, Gus. Needless to say it's become my new favorite song.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the song to put on my playlist, but just "listen" to the video. Love it!!

I think I've found my next Halloween costume...
Tim Burton has just released pictures of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in the soon to be out remake of Alice in Wonderland. After seeing this picture of Johnny I can't wait to see what Tim will do. All I know is that when these two get together they make some great movies...
and I can finally dress up as something that would top my "famous" Oompa Loompa costume.
AWE-SOME!!!

Time away
I've been spending time with my parents the past few weeks. I had planned to only be here two weeks or so, but its been at least three and I may stay an additional week to help my dad clean out the garage. LOL it's only needed to be cleaned out for the past 20 years or so. I've taken a ton of pictures and just as soon as I get a chance to upload them I will post a few to share with you guys. Take care and talk to you later.

I got in!!
So for those readers who did not know, for the past few months I've been trying to get into a private art college. The last month or so at CSN was somewhat frustrating since I found out they were going to be getting rid of the Interior Design program. before I moved out to Las Vegas, and before I had attended West Valley I really wanted to go to the Academy of Art college in San Francisco. But, my mom wouldn't let me even apply because she didn't want me going to San Francisco. She disagrees that we even had the conversation, but I guess that we'll just have to agree to disagree. Any who I was kind of panicky over the whole CSN thing and applied. Well, as I said in my title... I GOT IN!! I'm so excited. The unfortunate thing is that its super expensive and I, ahem, don't have a job right now. But, I'm hoping that I'll find something that will at least get me to a point where I can make payments.
Oh, the other good news is that the counselor at school finally got her head out of her ass and instead of having to complete another year or two of classes that probably won't be available I now am two, count em two, classes away and I'll have my associate degree in Interior Design, CADD, Liberal Arts (again) and certification in Interior Design and CADD. Kind of wish she would have realized, you know like two or three years ago, but what can I do.

Time to get out!
So this past weekend I, and my friend Cynthia, got a way for a quick mini-vacay to Laguna Beach. I had so much fun! With all that I had heard from Carey and Lance about Laguna, I had high expectations. Well, it delivered. It reminded me so much of Carmel and Monterey Bay, even had a touch of Sausalito in it. I was ready to come back the next weekend and it was only the first day! I can't believe I found a place that reminds me of home that I can get to without breaking the bank. The food was great, the hotel room was surprisingly nice, and the place was just amazing. Here are some of the photos I took while I was there...

Carey and I are already in talks to go there some time in June or July and honestly I can't wait!!
We even managed a day trip to LA before we headed out of town. We spent the day touring celebrity homes and although the van we were in was a bit on the ghetto side I still managed to enjoy it. The weather was gorgeous, Cynthia and I were seated in relatively "great" seats and got some great pictures. Here are a few of what I took:
